this page should be the only proof that i'm not too fond of the convention of giving cagney nicknames. i mean, to poke fun at him, sure, but actually? i can't seriously read a romantic or dramatic scene wherein cagney is being lovingly referred to as "cags." it's two syllables, i mean come on.this page is uh a interesting one. i use AoR as an excuse to try out panel layouts and, yeah, that's what this is. dunno how it turned out, what do you fellas think? let's not talk about the last two panels though, cause yuck. also, cagney's in-fight background cites his garden as on the water despite being adjacent to a river rather than the ocean, and i thought the background needed room to breathe.
right, anyway, hilda has returned to an alarming cagney absence and a carelessly ajar door! i'm sure she'll just have a seat outside and wait patiently for her friend to arrive...
