Description Here it is! I'm getting slowly better at simulating watercolor backgrounds in Sketchbook Pro, thank goodness.

I guess since I have a bit of an audience now, I'll talk a little about each of these designs. (note: these are in context of an AU wherein all of the Cuphead bosses were human prior to their contracts)

Beppi is just... Beppi, but I tried to make him look a little more solid since he isn't a "balloon" anymore. The helium tank is just there to indicate his persisting addiction to the stuff, since it was required for survival under his contract.

Djimmi is also pretty cut-and-dry, but I wanted to insinuate that without his contract, everything he does is just smoke and mirrors. Case in point, those "clouds" under him are probably to conceal whatever device is keeping that carpet off the ground

All I did with the Baroness is make her look a little less bonkers, since I imagine without all that power to go mad over she's likely a generally pleasant person. The thing she's holding (a small replica of her canon castle), is basically just there to indicate what her act entailed before she put it on metaphorical steroids.

Wally canonically doesn't give one much to work with, but I decided to go for a kind of "disproving middle-aged father" thing with him since one of the maybe three things we definitively know about him in-game is that he's a dad (at least under his contract woooooo). I also tried to make him look just a tad self-righteous since his in-game dialogue is somewhat high-and-mighty. The bird is there to indicate his hobby/job of keeping birds, pretty standard stuff there.

Grim I had some fun with, since he's one of those characters where his personality has kind of a disconnect with his appearance. Bit of a spoiler for NnV's next chapter here (shh), but here I drew him "breathing fire", which was about the most fitting pre-contract occupation I could think of. I drew his hair to simulate both fire and his in-game ears, and though I kind of sucked at drawing it in his hair is meant to be a bit singed. In general, I just like the idea of something powerful and extremely hard to beat turning out to be or appear absolutely pathetic afterwards, so that was my thought process with Grim here.

Right! If all that explanation seemed weird and out-of-context, go check out Null and Void! It's a pretty fun time, and has heaps of terrible people talking about their feelings, if you're into that sort of thing. If not, you can just appreciate these designs for what they are (either way, this is my two cents on how these characters would look as humans) and enjoy this picture context-free.

Thanks for viewing and reading! Have a lovely day!
