Description

Jumping spiders used to freak me out pretty seriously. My reasoning being that while most spiders run away from you (as well they should, right?), jumping spiders will watch you...and then leap out AT you. My response to that behavior generally consisting of jumping up and down and shrieking "kill it, kill it with fire!!!" Also, as a Facebook friend pointed out, "Jumping spiders SWIVEL. A spider should not swivel. Ever."
However, my mood has since shifted. Partly because I'm older now and have suffered worse than spider bites, and partly because several photographers I've come across are in love with jumping spiders. The words "curious", "friendly", and "cute" have all been used. I've found myself coming 'round.
