My first blender render. Using pictures provided by NASA and opensource software, Blender and GIMP I was able to this space scenery. Nothing too fancy, but good enough for a beginners work.

Few things annoy me though. The darkside isn't dark enough. imho, only the lights should be visible. Also the atmosphere is too.. something and finally I also included a glow filter, but apparently that was lost somewhere.
