Description
(plays T-Rex - Children Of The Revolution)This was in response to an respectful email I sent on April 2 (World Autism Awareness Day) to the CEO of the Jewish Women's Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches (who made a grant to Futures Without Violence to expand its Coaching Boys Into Men program which Futures says (according to correspondence I have received) that autism tailoring is not a focus area) which pointed out that 1 in 54 children and 1 in 37 boys are on the autism spectrum according to the US CDC and the aforementioned issues of Futures along with making recommendations that she watches TV shows such as The Good Doctor and Atypical and movies such as Rain Man and Mercury Rising (all of which have characters on the autism spectrum) to develop (or enhance) her understanding of autism and considering that she has children that they watch TV shows with characters on the autism spectrum such as Pablo and Sesame Street.
In response to the cease and desist notice, I stated that I was not required to comply since I was engaging respectfully and that JWF email addresses used were corporate and not personal.
Even though Coaching Boys Into Men was the most evalulated program, I cannot find any analysis or weighting for autism or special needs in any of the the evalulations and research (search terms used: autis*, spectrum, need*, special).
One final note: The Jewish Women's Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches would rather silence its critics than help address a significant mental health issue.
