Description
I´ve been thinking about SOSA and company. Well, this would sorta be the coin they used after relocating.Actually this is their largest-denomination coin, a Letter Coin.
The Letter-Coin´s value varies, but it is never used without a proper warranty. MOF, SOSA´s bots keep track of where each individual coin is, and how many there are, so that they cannot be counterfeited. They are minted only in special ocassions, for example, to pay someone for the construction of an entire district. A letter-coin operates less like a coin, and more of a contract, or a trade letter; they can be redeemed, but only once. Afterwards, the empty space is signed, dated and timed.
As for the other, non-empty spaces, those are the archetypes SOSA constructed after 5.000 years of work, the things he used to rouse these nameless bots that made him. Basically, the archetypes provide a frame within which the painfully rational robots can find a final purpose and a meaning to existence, in acting in a certain way. So they are, more or less... role models. The general attitudes they delineate are the following:
The archetype at the bottom is the archetype of Strife. It is represented by the silhouette of a square-bladed sword within the outline of a diamond shape. Strife proposes... well... strife, as the reason for existence. You know, fighting. It´s stupid, but if you watch TV for an hour, or anime for a minute, you´ll see it could get lots of believers. It´s an easy philosophy, after all! "If it opposes you, fight it."
The archetype to the left of Strife is Function. It is represented by the silhouette of a crane. Crane, as in, lifting. Not the bird. It proposes merely doing what you do well. Even easier than Strife, don´t you think? Sorta like Bob, the god of commoners.
The archetype above Function is Protector. It is represented by the really abstract, empty shape with a dot in the middle. Note to self: Never try to combine an X with the Maximals´ sign again. Anyway, the archetype of the Protector proposes merely being peaceful, and avoiding violence. However, it has an even higher priority in avoiding bringing violence to your neighbors, even if that brings violence to you.
The archetype opposite Protector is Conqueror. It is represented by the sharp and silly shape. I tried to combine a Sigma with the Decepticons, and here I stand embarassed. Well, I don´t need to explain where would Sigma and Megatron agree, right? Life sucks. Kill. Don´t let anyone get in your way, even if they are robots.
The archetype above Protector is Twins. It is represented by the two weights on top of a... flashlight-shaped thing. You ever read the Cyberiad? Well, worshippers of Twins try to learn from Klapaucius and Trurl, finding new, exciting, and poetic solutions. The next guy who tells me they are not twins gets a S&W .500 bullet on the head.
The archetype to the right of the Twins is Maker. Maker is represented by the Playstation sign with an (R). Just kidding. It´s some of the edges of a cube, with a dot above and to the left. The archetype of the Maker is an archetype of justice, patience, thoroughness, and... conceitedness. SOSA depicted himself as a god to his people through this archetype, which proposes letting people be as they are, being them so hard to change and, after all, what´s the point of existing if one cannot fulfill himself? It also proposes thoroughness and justice in judgement, and in everything else too: it is an archetype of impartiality in judgement, and thoroughness in collecting (basically, it´s worshipped by stamp-collectors... and Pokémon trainers ...
The archetype to the right of the Maker is Serendipitous. This one was the hardest to make... because... I owed someone the honor of the concept. . The archetype of the Serendipitous is based on his "Silhouette" character. Nice guy, I like him, even though I keep putting myself in an awkward position to deal with it. The archetype of the Serendipitous (first guy to tell me Silhouette has nothing to do with luck will... be ignored. With luck, will be ignored.) proposes a life of healthy stubbornness, never reckoning. I could never... but so many people can, and I´m starting to think that attitude is cool.
I´d place the copyrights of all the characters that were knocked off in the making of the Archetypes, but it´d be pointless... and I´m not in the mood to write that many dates. Oh, what the hell. But no dates!
The Cyberiad is copyrighted by Stanislav Lem. He might be dead, but so are Bruce Lee, Napoleon and Einstein...
The Transfomers are copyrighted by Hasbro... I think.
Megaman X and all related characters are a trademark of Capcom. That I´m sure of.
Revolver model S&W 500 and the .500 caliber are copyright of Smith&Wesson.
Silhouette is copyrighted by Raziel-Chan.
SOSA is copyrighted by me. And so are those nameless bots around him. You know, I should give them a name already... would Lantrons do?

The thought didn´t cross my head, BC.
But I think it would be a bit more serious than the medabots.
