Description
This is a little screenshot I took today (one out of a LOT I've taken previously) of the night sky in Minecraft, using the mod Minecraft Enhanced ([link] ). Of course, this isn't the vanilla mod but actually some modification on my own part to the night sky's skybox, in which I added the Milky Way.I really like the mod because of how much more detail it puts into the night sky, making it have more personality than the vanilla Minecraft's sky. Of course, being an improvement-seeker, I got to thinking about the untouched nature of Minecraft worlds and came to the conclusion that, because of how untouched the worlds are, the sky should feature not just the usual stardust that's stock with the mod, but also have the dazzling streak that is the Milky Way. So, with some Photoshop Magic, I created the Milky Way edition of the MCE Starbox. And it was good.
(Just a matter of interest, the segmented look is because of the translucent 3d clouds. In retrospect I should've taken it without them, but I can't now because I've since knocked down the tower in this picture. I might take another one once I'm done with its replacement.)
