So...I found out what Dee was doing. Clicking buttons in Iray and seeing what happened with Alchemica's appearance.Here is what tonight's episode of "Clicky Clicky" generated.
This is Dee's 2020 standard Alchemica model with copious amounts of button pushing, "Huh's?" and the occasional impact of a MLP travel mug off a wall or floor.

I have no idea how Dee does lots of things... often neither does she because she doesn't write her process down... just happily presses buttons like a mad woman in a missile silo...
However in this case I have confirmed that Alch is just V4 unmorphed... always has been apparently
