The Pale "Albino" King

Drew this guy almost exactly a year ago to the day (January 11th), becoming my most liked piece on Instagram thus far. Originally just an excuse for me to draw an Albino Godzilla, he's now considered as the (if not one of) the main protagonists of my Godzilla OC-verse I call "The Awaioverse". I essentially gave him a more regal and holy benevolent look to him, with The project is still a heavy WIP, but nonetheless I have a rough idea what his origins are - as well as the overall world as a whole:

Awaio was originally born on Earth roughly 66 MYA, being an anomaly due to his albinism and being physically weaker compared to others of his kind. Despite this, he possessed a higher potency of atomic energy at an early age, allowing him to fire stronger beams with a reddish color. While seen as an outcast by most of his species, the only Godzilla individual he became friends with was "Dagon" - a melanistic Godzilla known for his abnormal physical strength and being utterly intimidating to others; causing them to fear and avoid him. Awaio, however, wasn't scared of him, which allowed the two to become close friends.

However, roughly a hundred years later, the Earth would find itself invaded by the Xillien Empire, heralded by a massive asteroid flung in their direction before an invasion of hundreds, if not thousands, of Ghidorahs descended upon their world! Lead by a massive "Black Dragon" Ghidorah, these "Ghidorian Units" of varying sizes and niches laid waste to the land; with the Godzilla and other kaiju species of Earth banding together to protect the Earth from further devastation and conquest. Despite their valiant efforts, the Earth Kaiju would find themselves on the losing end of the fight - with Awaio and Dagon watching as countless of their own species lost their lives. However, in their darkest hour, another alien race called "The Elysians" (think of high-tech sci-fi angels) came to the call of an "Unknown Guardian", driving off the Xillien forces and saving what was left of the planet.

Yet it came at a steep cost. The overall kaiju population had decreased by roughly 80%, making it one of the worst events in kaiju history since the Permian Era's "Great Dying". Awaio and Dagon would find themselves to be the last of their kind; the rest of the Godzilla species having died. The Elysians would then come upon a young Awaio, who was searching for Dagon during the chaos. Noting his untapped powers and potential, as well as believing he was the sole survivor of his kind, proceeded to "abduct" him to become a "Guardian" of their ranks. Taking him to their home planet, Awaio was approved to become a guardian and was "blessed" with holy strength and power - becoming one of their most powerful and beloved units - and being tasked to eliminate any threats that wished to upturn the order of the galaxy.

This is just a taste of Awaio's origins. There's certainly more to his story and he will eventually return to Earth - but that's a story for another time.
