The emotional scene of their conversation inspired me to paint the art. Few people know that the conversation was sincere and Quentin really spoke the truth that he likes Peter. He did not want to harm him and hinted that Peter should be saved. This is the very moment when the antihero sympathizes with the hero, stands at a crossroads, where you can still change everything. And definitely, I think, there is an alternate version in the countless Marvel Multiverse where they remained friends and their relationship developed, and maybe even love...
