I agree. I create my characters too^^ and honestly I love them much more then someone's else characters, cause they are YOURS, like your children and they're perfect just as you want and they will never disappoint you. While characters like Loki one day can just break your heart because some clever screenwriters or the actor himself can spoil the beautiful character. You know I used to like Legolas, many years ago when I saw LOTR I fell in love with this magnificent elf, but years later in Hobbit film they have just fucked up his character. Legolas was single and carefree, but now he has fallen in love with a woman elf and blah blah blah - it's doesn't like him. I hate it. Upset. I feel like very tired of all these standards "a man, of course there is a woman".

What you say about OCs, I can totally agree with. What you say about Legolas- well, yeah, his character isn't what it should be in the hobbit, but I never used to like Legolas that much- my favourite is Elrond, and will always be, I suppose
Legolas is single. And Haldir lives! And what annoys me, too, is the fact of Erestor and Glorfindel almost totally missing in the movies. Glrofindel was replaced by Arwen! Dammit, that wasn't neccessary, I think. You know, I am an emancipated woman, but in the Middle Ages women were nearly unimportant, and that's okay, let the men do all stuff, as long as they're charming, everything will be alright and nobody has to give a female character that importance- in both Lotr and Hobbit. I will keep silent now so that you have time to answer

I loved legolas because he was pretty, cool and funny. I love the warrior he is. But now... I feel a little different perhaps maybe because I know who Orlado Bloom is. I don't know if I should hope Legolas will not be with Tauriel...

That's it! Tolkien never payed a lot of attention to women! His books, esp. the Hobbit and the LOTR were mainly the stories of men's heroism.

I don't know- if Tolkien himself paid more attention to women, I would be okay with Arwen and maybe even Tauriel. But only maybe. But- he has not. So I think the cobbler should stick to his last and Glorfindel, Legolas etc. to their glory.
Are you okay with the lack of women or do you think it's bad? I'dΒ like to know your opinion about that

I'm not okay with women messing in movies with or without purpose when there should not be. C'mon there are loads of movies where women are main characters and heros like 'Sucker Punch'. When I've watched 300 rise of empire I thought what a shitty movie it is - put woman as a main villain was the stupidest idea for a movie about Spartans and Persians, moreover when she looks like emo rockstar - women did not look that way these times. I also think that Tauriel looks not like an elf, more like silly, dominant plastic model with big lips rather than a noble warrior.
I'm answering late too, because I'm terribly sick with fever.
