"I was born the day the world ended. That's okay though, because by the time it happened, most of us had already left the planet. Gaia had been our home for hundreds of thousands of years. It had been a generous, resourceful planet, but sadly it did not last. Since then, humans have been scattered across the known universe, searching for a new home.

I've never had a place to call home.
I was raised by a man named Darius, a well-known spaceship captain whose lifelong dream is to explore every inch of the cosmos. The Council had called him to lead an emergency evacuation on the population of Gaia after a destruction threat was confirmed. He piloted the HWSS Ark Royal, which held several thousands of families at a time.
He was a respected ship captain and mechanical engineer, but retired not long after the last batch of people. Couldn't take the pressure, I suppose.

He said he found me that day. Never explained how or why, just that I 'just appeared, like magic'. Yeah, right.

I wish he was still here. Journeying alone has been so boring. I've spent the past couple of weeks in Drearion, a planet consisting of mostly desert rocks and sand. Days were as blazing hot as a million suns and nights below freezing. An ordinary human would not last a minute in this place.
The sun starts to set. I take out my camping gear to set out my sleeping space for the night." - E
