You should put the dress on and go for it! You'll regret not doing it more than doing it!
And, btw, big is sexy, too

I have no fashion sense. I wear Jeans, a t-shirt and a hoodie everyday. I'm happy the way I am. But I love painting my nails and wearing false lashes and eyeliner

I used to think this way. I'm still fat, but I'm working on it, and I like to be girly. Sometimes.

Dear ST,
I know exactly how you feel, I've been struggling with the same thing... I'm still trying to learn to either accept or change myself, and It's hard... Wear the dress and be confident, you're worth it.

Be girly I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised - I'm sure you'll look great!
I know it's hard to think that way because you have, as you said, low self-confidence, but so do I, and sometimes even I am pleasantly surprised. So try it!

Maybe it's easier if you change bit by bit, so it won't be such a "shock" for others (though you shouldn't think to much about them) and you could get more comfortable with it slowly. Mybe start using just a bit natural make-up, change to more feminine clothes bit by bit...

there is nothing wrong with being 'fat'.
as soon as you find that self confidence... you're set.
that's one of the sexiest things there is.

Do what you feel right and comfortable with.
As ~Miotas-Sisceal said, find something that flatters your body type, and make it work for you. Everyone and anyone can be beautiful, regardless of sizes or flaws, it just takes the right details and the right eye. Good luck with finding yours.

I have a friend who thinks exactly like this, and she's super skinny with no curves anywhere except her waistline. So I'll tell you exactly what I always say to her [[but with difference size reference obviously]]::
Honey, no matter how big or small you are, you can look beautiful in anything that flatters your body and shape. I know some BEAUTIFUL "fat" women because they wear clothing and makeup that flatters their best features--their boobs, their butt, their eyes, ANYTHING can look beautiful if you just take the time to find something that makes you feel beautiful, wear it right, and wear it with confidence. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't look pretty just because you're bigger.

This reminds me of my mom only because you said you're "fat." I don't like the term fat at all. It's mean. I use SEXY SUCCULENT;D And you can wear what you want, cause in 10 years when you look back the things you'll mostly regret are the things you DIDN'T do. So go for it, girl! Blossom into that beautiful flower you've been hiding away from the world who so desperately wants to see it. c:

BeautifulDisaster-07 [2010-12-26 03:09:56 +0000 UTC]
DO it anyway! If you show the world that you can wear whatever you want, you'll appear as if you have confidence in yourself, and that will naturally make you more attractive to everyone around you <3
Trust me on this...I used to wear only t-shirts and jeans and barely any make-up, never put any effort into my appearance, cos I thought people would think f me as weird if I did [cos I'm seventeen, but really small and often am mistaken to be much younger...]
BUt here's the thing: I decided to just go out and dress how I like, wear dresses and skirts and whatever random things I feel like...and suddenly I'm not a fly on the wall anymore. it's crazy, but it worked :]
Go for iT, ST! I'm sure you are BEAUTIFUL <3

Do it, girl.
It's not what size you wear, but how you present yourself. Show that you are proud of who you are and how you look and that you respect yourself.
And like they always say, fake it 'til you make it!
Believe me, I've faked it so many times and nobody was any the wiser.
You are beautiful.
Never forget that.

ohfaith-justfiction [2010-12-26 02:45:55 +0000 UTC]
Oh, this will sound so cliche, but do it.
You were blessed with a beautiful body, no matter what you think, and you were given it for a reason.
Embrace your beauty, embrace your body.
Show everyone how gorgeous you really are, because I know that you are.
I used to be so embarrassed of myself, and ashamed of my body, and too shyto talk to boys, but it's so worth it once you do.
good luck (:

PsstPeekABoo [2010-12-25 22:29:45 +0000 UTC]
It doesn't matter what size you wear, it's the clothes you wear. A girl can look good in any type of clothing if it's made right. You shouldn't fit yourself to the clothes, but the clothes to yourself.
All you need is a little confidence. And want to know a secret? Confidence can be faked.
You should be who you want and be comfortable with that self. If you're worried about what others would think of a quick change, move slowly. But don't keep who you want to be in the closet and be who you think others think you should be. You'll be happier if you're just yourself.

Kind of reminded me of this song: [link]
ST, beauty is DEFINITELY not the same as being skinny. You can be round AND beautiful. Just concerning your health, do some exercise, eat what you should, and no chocolates when you have a low-self-esteem-attack (I'm guilty of this, a lot). You'll see that you'll feel better, look better, and have enough self esteem to flirt with him

people will think you are gorgeous.
but if you're really that unhappy then do something about it? join the gym, go on a diet, be pro-active and you will feel so much better!

It's not wrong to feel the way you do, don't ever let anyone tell you diffrent! My first love always thought he should be a she, couldn't tell me, but I helped him tell his now wife. There is always people out there who accept you for who you are, and will love you no matter what. Looks don't need to be as they are in the magazines, I personally like girls who have curves so hopefully you will one day love youself enough to be yourself fully, because their's someone out there who will love you and accept you for who you are. Take care ST.

For every person you'd offset because you wear a dress, there'd be a person interested in getting to know you for the same reason. I personally think the second group of people would be better to associate with then the first, who were probably jerks anyways.

Do it!
I'm already sick of every single particle in this world promoting "beautiful=skinny".
Beauty is something we are born with, we just get fat or skinny on the way, but the beauty will ALWAYS be there. And everybody is beautiful in their own way - you are beautiful!
Making this change could help your self confidence go up. Just do it, carelessly of what others might say!

If you really want to do it, then do it! You don't have to be skinny to be beautiful. :]

You do it anyway because some of the most BEAUTIFUL people I have seen are not skinny! And I would totally date them anyway.
The guys who are worth bothering with won't care about your weight.

It's okay, and fun, to be girly. If that's what you want to do, go for it! And just because you do it once doesn't mean you have to do it all the time. If you wanna wear a dress then more power to you who cares what other people will think? It's your body and you have the right to dress it as you choose
