Of Mutant's backstory? Or just the background of the entire story? Like, is it set in a different environment?

Yeah, it's Mutant's story and I changed it so that instead of being mutated as a child after she was already born, the scientists messed with her DNA BEFORE she was born that way she developed the mutations while she was still developing and was born a mutant. Which is exactly why her sister and her have to live in the woods; because she can't be seen by anybody. She is, in the most literal term, a freak of nature.Β
Also, the chemicals they injected into her mother's womb (to mutate Aless) is what killed her mother so Mutant, sadly, believes for a long time that she was the cause of her mother's death

Oh they're completely sadistic! And the worst part is, when they initially see her as a baby, they're like, "Whoa dude! That thing's WAY f**ked up! What did we do wrong?" In other words, they think she's an experiment gone wrong and just sorta toss her out so to speak. So it's as if they killed her mother and turned her into a freak for NOTHING! A HUGE WASTE OF TWO PRECIOUS LIVES!Β Β
But then they realize they actually need Mutant afterall so they KIDNAP her when she's only 10 years old, kill her sister and take her back to the lab where they test and experiment on her body to figure out how she works. Which, of course, just puts her through hours of physical torture daily

And she's so bony, it might feel weird to hug her 
Nonetheless, she needs some serious loving in her life! And friends! which would be hard to get if you're a genetic freak and everybody's scared of you

What do you have in mind? I think Jungle Aleu shouldn't be afraid of her. She's conquered MANY things living her life in the jungle. She knows fear and she will face it with a strong heart.

Lol! Sounds like Mutant considering she grew up majority of her life in the woods hunting for survival with a lethal and contagious plague in the small town not far from her (which is how Luke dies).Β
I think Aleu (just based off logic, I don't know much about the character) but I think she and anyone would be hella freaked out and weirded out by Mutant initially but they'd certainly grow to like her once she opens up to them and shows her softer side. (Mutant has a super hard time trusting people and will often keep her guard on hyper alert until she truly knows them)

Well, Aleu is brave in the movie, yet reckless at the same time. Maybe she's more than inviting to Mutant, and Mutant is scared because of her approachability.

Well, Aleu isn't afraid. She can handle a snake bite and even worse. But, she is happy to make new friends.

Oh I know Aleu won't be afraid but Mutant will be. She'll see Aleu as a threat at first. So many times, people have tried to fool her into thinking they're friendly only to try to kill her later (all explained in full story). Of course, Aleu will not do this but Mutant doesn't know that at first.

That's not rude at all! That's actually a really good question! Basically, you just need to prove to her that you truly have no bad intentions. Learn what she likes and dislikes (it's perfectly fine if you don't agree on everything, she understands) and what makes her happy.
Show that you care for her and understand her. But DO NOT have any needles, chemicals, or white lab coats around her unless you're asking for a fight.Β
It's really hard to gain her 100% trust but even 50% is good! ^-^

Just so long as she knows Aleu does not have ANYTHING to do with being a mad scientist, she'll prob be good ^-^ Oh, and Aleu must hide ALL forms of weaponry when she first sees Mutant otherwise Mutant will see that as a threat and go into fight mode (or stance, same thing).Β
Other than that, Aleu's a really nice gal so I'm sure Mutant won't see her as a threat ^^

Well, Aleu uses a spear to fetch and collect fruit. But, she would NEVER do it to harm any animal. Unless it's for a hunt.

Mutant actually uses a similar weapon, that being a bow/arrow and always tries to kill on the first hit to prevent pain (I'm sure Aleu does too). If that doesn't work, she simply attacks the animal but goes straight for the throat for a faster kill. She hates killing things though and isn't the biggest fan of meat, despite her enormous fangs and sharp claws

Well, Aleu speaks English like any anthro wolf can do. She would speak like a bold young adult girl and be a little "thoughtful" most of the time too.

Well, she would see Mutant looking for something to eat or sleep, and then Aleu would secretly give her some fruit, and then, when she felt confident to meet her, Aleu then gets to meet her in person with fruit in tow.

Β Ok, being 100%% honest, that's literally what I was planning on doing in my long story about Mutant: Carmen (David's youngest daughter) is saved by Mutant but at first she's terrified and runs away (she's only 6 years old, Mute's 16 at the time). Then, the next day, she leaves some food out and leaves. At first, Mutant ignores it but then eventually eats it so then Carmen leaves more food out until, finally, they meet one day!Β
That is 100% accurate, no lie!Β
So yeah, I think that'd be a great idea!

Aleu is active on any time of the day. She can swing through trees in the day and she could be running or howling at night before going to sleep.

Well, a jungle has more trees and flora than the woods. But, if you're curious, you can look up some jungle pictures online or in books.
