One day 5,000 years ago, Jeff's father, the Unicorn and his Alicorn mother who is the controller of space and time, were cursed by the creator of the elements of harmony because of his father being seduced by the Queen of Changelings. But why you ask? Because the Queen of Equestria doesn't take adultery lightly even if it wasn't his father's fault but it was meant to make them learn the dangers of what happens on their family so in reality, the curse saves them from the family tearing apart but leaves her baby trapped until 5,000 years has been past. Finally, 5,000 years have been past as the Alicorn of space-time was dealing with her suffering, the baby Unicorn Jeff was born at the same time as the mane 6.
Soon 10 years have been passed and a tragedy struck, his mother was kidnapped by cultists! Jeff rushed to find her mom once he realized that she mysteriously disappeared but he arrived too late, he saw his mother dead, then in a split second his mother's body turned into this ugly dragon. Jeff was really mad and his horn glowed and screamed as loud as he could, "MOMMY!!!" then all of the sudden a white and black laser hit the creature but this didn't faze him, it only made him laugh diabolically and then he said mockingly "Oh that's too bad that your a mommy's boy! HA HA! YOU KIDS MAKE ME SICK!" but that only angered Jeff to a point where he made his magic so powerful, that the creature was reaching doom and despair thus it disappeared and his mother's body returned to normal then the circle that was once there disappeared and shattered thus he ended to spell to catch his breathe. Then he knocked out all the cultists except for the leader for he knew how to fight in different ways and knew how to self defend but alas in the end the Unicorn triumphed with pure luck. The stallion spoke his last word's "The only way to revive her is a very rare plant...." but then it was too late to hear the rest because he died shortly afterword and for some reason it seemed like the circle was their life force. In despair, he cried then took a vow to revive his mother one day, so then he took the body and knowing from her that she told him that her body never decays if she dies.
He then realized this was true and then he decided to be independent and spent most of his life in Canterlot, reading, socializing, preparing meals etc. for the last few years until he went to Ponyville. He keeps his mother's body 500% safe which means he preserves her till he finds the special plant. He doesn't want to rush himself so he lives life to the fullest but he needs to take care of a few things first. This is his story from the past, now go into the present time and seek new beginnings and the true reason why he won't get the flower just yet.
