Description
Rainbow Dash felt like this marriage has been a big mistake. After a while (and it's been a year since they were married) she still hadn't grown to love her wife. Derpy had noticed, and after some consideration, had decided it was better to break it off. She returned home one night, the divorce papers tight in her jaws, and she showed them to Rainbow Dash.

"Are you sure?" Rainbow Dash looked up at her wife, her eyes filled with hope, and at the same time, apology.

"If it makes you happy," smiled Derpy, and Dash embraced her in a tight hug. Lifting a pen to her muzzle, they both signed the papers, deciding who received what, and Derpy agreed to deliver the papers the next morning.

The next morning, Dash trotted towards Twilight's house, eager to relay the news. A barrier was there, but for some reason Dash was able to go through it. She opened the door, and shut it behind her. She then saw Twilight crying a small puddle forming around her. This deeply saddened the cyan pony but she comforted Twilight, giving her a hug. Twilight then stop crying and looked up into the most beautiful pony she had ever seen.

Twilight smiled and giggled and she hugged Rainbow Dash back. "I love you," they said together, and burst into another tirade of laughter. Just then, Derpy crashed into Twilight's house.

"RAINBOW DASH THE PINK ALICORN TOOK CARE OF IT RIGHT AWAY!!!" Derpy then flew out, crashing into the doorframe a few times as the other two mares waved goodbye. Wait a second, thought Rainbow Dash, Cadence? As strange as it was that a Princess would take care of this, the two mares had other things to attend to. Suddenly, a pinging sound rang through the library, and a letter appeared on the table. Twilight picked it up magically and read it aloud.

"Dear my beloved sister-in-law,
I am here to inform you that your friend Rainbow will be now married to you the right way without interruption. However, if you see Celestia at the wedding don't be alarmed, I will explain everything to her before it happens. Let's just hope she doesn't blow up the moon or anything else in particular. I mean that figuratively not literally ha ha! Anyways I hope the best of luck to you two!

Twilight then took out the glasses with a confused expression, just to have Rainbow grab them.

"MINE! AWESOME!!!" Twilight snickered at her marefriend, but was then struck with curiosity. Twilight was curious about why Rainbow Dash had been gone for so long. Before she could even ask Rainbow Dash, Dash told her why she was gone.

"Friends are really really important but once your bound to a marriage you got to do whatever you can to take care of that special somepony and protect them. Even if it means not seeing you for weeks and I'm really sorry, Twilight I really am." Sadness was evident in her eyes, but Twilight scooped her up in a hug.

"No worries! The good thing is that you're happy!" She pranced around and Dash laughed at her, but her laughing was cut off by a pair of lips kissing her. Her eyes flew open, then shut again as they kissed. Despite her closed eyes, she could see rainbows, and as they broke off the kiss, she realized she had floated up a few hooves.

"Twilight? Can I ask you something?" Rainbow Dash spoke without thinking, but she pressed on. "I love you, more than anything. And I know this is abrupt, but Twilight? Will you marry me?"
