Description
This is my second project using Blender, and it went considerably faster than the first. The tutorial I used to create this can be found here .The cup/bowl was considerably easier to create than the coffee cup was, thanks largely to the use of the Solidify tool in Object Modifiers, which saved me the trouble of having to mess with extrusions and scaling again like with the coffee cup's interior. In fact, the only extrusion I had to make was on the bottom to flatten out the sphere. I may have to create a new coffee cup later using these new techniques.
The napkin in general was a lot of fun to create. I used a dark red rather than the blue of the tutorial, but the process of making it was largely the same. Using animation to produce this effect was a lot easier and a lot more fun than it would have been if I had tried to mess around with curves and sculpting in order to create this.
I used 2000 samples to render the image this time, which took me 9 minutes and about 58 seconds on this computer. I am very happy with the result.
