Finally came up with a story, essentially he is a nomad android. a wanderer looking for his purpose in his wasteland world. A relic of what use to be a technological culture, he has to fend for himself. Self repairs, and self defense from the Remains.

Essentially a deeper story is the culture deemed this planet unnecessary. it held no more advancements for life. so most left, leaving unwanted machines and people. What society has left became know as the Remains. Androids are rare and treated with great respect and hope, however like children with a single doll any found android is wanted badly and most will fight over it, either destroying the machine or each other with their greed.
