Miss. Haversham, as you no doubt know, is the villain of sorts from Great Expectations who gets jilted on her wedding day and locks herself away. I would recant more, but I never bothered to read it.
Anyway, the comparison to Haversham wasn't really pointed out until after. The model for these pieces is one Lily Milton, who is best known online for baiting Tool fans on a Tool message board and for a collection of uneloquent rants about various subjects which is found on Melo. She was put in a cheap Edwardian style wedding dress we for £10 on eBay, given some dead flowers and had some black giftwrapping ribbon tied around her head to look like a blindfold, then told to look melancholy.
To be honest, as the picture was taken several months ago, I can't exactly remember the motivation behind why these pictures are like this exactly, but it seemed to work. As I recall, it started with the idea of a blindfold and a wedding dress, which then lead into the idea of being jilted at the alter and Miss.Haversham, and as such the melancholy of the situation. This was my personal favouite of the lot of these.
