Just a little something to get the flood started.

I drew this for Sophie's birthday card. The whole thing was made up as I went along, so the narrative is weak. But it was all about the concept, really.

The original concept was "Panda with a Shotgun", but this was altered when I realised that (a) I couldn't draw a panda, and (b) I couldn't draw a shotgun.
And when you can't draw the two core elements, what do you do?

You cry. And you cry and you cry and you tear up the bar napkin you scrawled on, punch the guy next to you, storm out of the establishment and get back to that mo'flipping drawing board. And you cobble some crap together about gorillas and bears.

That's what I did here.

T'was drawn in my silver sketchbook with my beloved Staedler 0.5 pigment liner - straight ink to page, no initial pencil sketch or anything.
