God sent down an angel from heaven above.He sent him to the soldiers
Who needed our love.
He sent him to the families
Who were in despair.
He sent him to the children
To show that he cared.
He sent down an angel
To which only love could compare.
He sent down the angel to help
Us repair.
The damage is done
There’s nothing more he can do
But send down his angels to help us through.
This is what he does for us
And we go to war
And destroy our beautiful world
To repay him.
Doesn’t exactly seem fair
