"In the days before the pyramids...there was a great sorcerer, answering only to the winged Pharaoh Khufu, who had power and skill to not only rival beings of great power such as the immortals Vandal Savage and Wotan, his once friend Tethatum, the Wizard from the rock of eternity, the demon lord Trigon, and even the lords of order and chaos...but combat them! The sorcerer was known far and wide, and as such was respected, feared, and renowned as the sorcerer supreme. Though he possessed such talismans as the Amulet of Anubis, the cloak of destiny, and even his golden helmet, there was one force that he could never defeat...death. so the sorcerer's body died...but his soul lived on through the helmet. The Lords of Order were impressed by this mortal; so impressed that they made him a Lord of Order. Now whosoever wears his helm, may be possessed by the great Nabu to become: DOCTOR FATE."

This was my first time drawing my own version of DC's top sorcerer and I really like what I did here. I accentuated the Egyptian roots in this like I did with my Black Adam piece, changed a few details of his origin, and threw in a few hints at where his life was gonna go; and I think it looks beautiful. I can't wait to draw more in the line of this character.
