Growing bored of the video games he'd played, Daniel Conners was lucky enough to find an ad in a comic book for a "Lightweight Ultra Virtual Reality System". Seeing as you can ALWAYS trust ads in comic books, he mailed in for one, and weeks later received his very own L.U.V.R.S.

A test trial revealed that the system worked beautifully, creating the most immersive gaming experience he'd ever seen. The next day, he was approached by the CIA, who revealed that the device he had used did not make a "virtual reality", but had actually granted him the in-game abilities.

Daniel then modified the L.U.V.R.S. and decided to use his powers to have fun as "The Gamer"...just without getting in trouble with the law.
