Description
Ok really inventive title hereThis was just a test of nParticles in Maya 2010
I'm really happy with the outcome, although it still doesn't quite look like real water
Any feedback is much appreciated
the animation is 50 frames and took just over 3 hours to render

I'm interested in getting into computer animation. Is there a specific program that you used, or what?

Lawlz, was just about to ask how long this took to render when I read your comments...good lord, that's a long time! D: I took an animation class where I had to wait about a half an hour for a 30 second clip. And I thought THAT was tedious!
I think you did a fabulous job with this. True, the water doesn't look exact, but its still believeable! I do like how the water is coming straight towards the camera, I feel like I just got a very nice shower! lol.

The glass should probably bounce a little at impact.

The pan of the camera angle is shockingly dynamic. I love it~

Looks good, although the water looks kinda like marbles.

yer that's mostly because to make it less marble like i would have had to add loads more particles which means it takes ages for anything to load
if i was just to do a static image i wouldn't mind using more particles though

Fair point. Also, it seems to explode as it leaves the glass.
On another point entirely, I just flinched at your avatar when it hit the "screen". Time for sleep methinks.

yes, I haven't got round to working out how to use motion blur but that is definitely something I'll have to have a go at
