Description
"Months. So many months. Yes, I was able to become a true doctor and am now a Resident of Tepes General Hospital, but that doesn't matter.""I had to move around like a thief in the night to collect what was needed. Dr. Harker was so close to catching on to me many times, but I did not fail, Elizabeth. Nurse Hakuba, Resident Cruz, and those damned FBI agents that skulk in this hospital like watchful demons. It is as if everything wishes to stand in my way."
"But the other doctors. Dr. Verona, Dr. Aleera, and Dr. Marshika seemed to be helping us. Those three kind women. I owe them so much. And that security guard. His name was Igor. He claimed not to have a surname, but he helped us, Elizabeth. A stocky man, but his strength is near herculean."
"It was he who carried you here under Dr. Tepes's orders. Without him, I couldn't have brought you here without being caught."
"My love, how I wanted to bring you back, but I knew it would be foolish to do so immediately. So many of your organs were unfit. Your body was unfit. This body. This once beautiful body. It poisoned you. Allowed you to contract this monster known as cancer."
"That's why it took so long, Elizabeth. Your heart and head were the only perfect parts you had. Your kind, sweet heart. Your perfect head with a hair of gold and face of an angel, with those sapphires you call eyes hidden by your closed lids. And your brain. The box that houses your soul. I was able to protect them, Elizabeth."
"But the rest of your body. It was tainted. You yourself said it. Your ovaries were made useless by cancer. I want to have a child with you, Elizabeth. No. CHILDREN! But without healthy ovaries, that isn't possible. Weeks I spend in the hospital's morgue, searching for the healthiest, most fertile ovaries from women who even remotely resembled you. Hours upon hours upon hours of searching, but I did it," Victor said as he traced his hand down the covered body's groin. "We can have a child when you wake up, Elizabeth."
"But that wasn't the end, my love. No. All of your organs had to be replaced. Exchanged with stronger, healthy, more powerful organs that will make it near impossibly for you to so much as sneeze from an allergen. You'll never get sick again with these organs keep your body clean, strong and healthy."
"That isn't the end, Elizabeth. Your limbs had to be replaced as well. It killed me to have to cut off your perfect arms and legs, your new body wasn't compatible with your previous limbs. I had to find a arm with the right amount of muscle. Slim and lean yet still as soft as velvet. You will be physically strong, Elizabeth. Strong enough to crush a stone in the palm of your hand. I swear."
"And your legs. Your legs will still long. Long, beautiful, and slender, with dainty feet at end. But you will have speed. Awesome speed."
"Oh, Elizabeth, you were perfect before, but this new body will make you invincible. Never again will you have to fear that damned reaper. We can be together forever, my love."
"My only regret is the time we had to wait, but I had no choice. There was nowhere near enough man-made power to resurrect you. Which is why I had to wait."
Thunder crashed, Victor looking out the window. "For the power of God," he said as lightning flashed.
"God took you away from me, Elizabeth, but now his power will bring you back to me!" Victor stomped over and yanked a chain, his table with his dead fiancΓ©e rising toward the heavens.
Lightning then struck the table.
"GIVE BACK HER LIFE, GOD! GIVE BACK WHAT YOU STOLE FROM HER!"
More lightning crashed stuck the table.
Meanwhile, while doing administrative work in his office, Vlad heard the lightning and turned toward the Research Building. "So it begins."
Dr. Harker was leading an elderly patient out of her office, putting him back in a wheelchair with his smiling grandson. "Now, be sure he takes his medicine twice a day, and be sure to make an appointment for next month."
"Yes, ma'am, Dr. Harker," the grandson said.
"You are a godsend, Dr. Harker," the old man said, making Mina giggle.
Everyone jumped when lightning struck the Research Building.
"Good God," the old man yelled.
"What on Earth is happening," Mina asked as she placed her hand on the window.
Soma was helping Mina clean up a newly emptied room when they heard the lightning, Mina letting out a cute little scream as they looked out the window.
"What in the- Why is there so much lightning hitting the Research Building," Soma asked.
Finally, at the ground floor of the building, a short but muscular man was looking out the window, looking up at the lightning striking the Research Building with a smile. "Bringing back the missus, eh... doc," asked Head of Security, Igor with a crooked smirk.
Victor watched the lighting strike more and more. "LIVE ELIZABETH! I BEG YOU! LIIIIVE!"
When the last flash of lightning crashed, Victor pulled down the table, believing she received more than enough electricity to be revived. When the table was down, he ran over and yanked the cloth off the table, revealing...
The sleeping beauty that was the deceased Elizabeth Lavenza, whom even in death was still a sight of beauty.
