My screams echoed throughout the room. I was dripping with sweat and my legs were tangled up in the blankets on my side of the bed. Random’s blue eyes opened in surprise and he turned to me. I took deep breaths as he put his am around my waist. “You alright?” Random spoke to me in a slight whisper. I shivered as the memories of the cruel nightmare struck me over and over. Tears were spilling onto the bedsheets. “No, it’s another nightmare…” I try to say through sobs. Random pulled me closer and kissed my forehead gently. I’ve been having nightmares that get worse each time I sleep. I have no idea where they are coming from. “Random?” I asked him as he stroked my lower back. “Yeah, Dev?” He replied, planting another kiss on my forehead. “Don’t let them get to me. Please.” I say softly to him. I want a promise. I feel him pull me as close as he can. “Yes, Dev, I wil never let them lay a finger on you.”

I wrote this a long time ago. I don't ship them as hard now.
