Description That dark figure,
That follows you every day,
That figure that stalks you in daylight,
Yet hides at night,
Avoiding the watchful eye,
Does it mimic you,
Or do you mimic it,
Is it our darkness,
Our second half,
Or is it our soul,
Stapled to the ground,
The truth is,
It’s the only thing we have in our lonely lives.

We are but singular figures, each one traveling within life with naught but our only friend...our only enemy...our own shadow. Be it a friend or enemy, we shall always be one with our dark reflection.
