Description
It ticks on and on,
The stopping point unknown,
Yet when it stops we know,
We know not only by sound,
But by sight and that gut feeling,
This clock doesn’t count up,
But down from start to end,
What clock is this? You ask me,
It is the clock within all of us,
Ticking on and on,
In a non stopping rhythm of ticks and tocks,
As a pendulum,
Dragging us through the sways of good and bad in our lives,
As a timer,
Deciding how long we can go on doing the same thing over and over,
How long until we stop all together or try something else,
The real question is,
How long will the clock go for me?
