Bathdor is the 5th planet of nine in The Hothor system. One of the core worlds of The Terran Union, the planet is the heart of humanity's current mining Commerce industry center. Though there is no mining on the planet itself, it serves as a Commerce point, for more than thirty major corporation home bases. Bathdor was colonized, during the Great Terran expansion, of 2049. By a disastrous colonization expedition, its human cargo made up of dissidents and malcontents the government deemed expendable. The survivors of the expedition established six colonies that became the basis for Bathdor’s major cities. Forced to adapt to the harsh existence on the mostly lifeless world of sub-zero temperatures, they became masters of survival. Within the next forty decades, the Bathdorian not only reestablished themselves with The Terran Union, but were mining their rich system for an assortment of highly sought after material s. A Theocracy Constitutional republic is in place, on Bathdor. It is responsible for the warfare and state security, rule by the neo- religious elite - chosen by elections where most of the populace is enfranchised. Though part of The Terran Union, Bathdor enjoys nearly total freedom from the Union’s governing powers. Federal troops are limited to planetary defense, and system wide security. However there are varies federal agencies station there, that support both the Bathdor government and The Union internal business interests
