Description yeah yeah, even MORE WoW fanart, only this is a different kind of fan art.

As y'all probably know, I'm a wolf person. I love 'em to bits, and the newer models the wolves/worgs get in northrend are pretty awesome. So I'm happy~

However, I finally got to the point of questing in Grizzly Hills.

I cannot even begin to express my love for this zone, it literally looks like the pacific northwest and western US were merged together to form this downright stunning, gorgeous landscape. And the animals actually BEHAVE like animals. [Grizzly bears actually wait on riverbanks and catch fish going upstream~, eagles will soar overhead and occasionally perch on tree limbs or even large rocks to roost. etc.]

I can't help but just sit there and admire the surroundings and really take it all in. It may only be a virtual world, but it is the most kinetic, interactive, and living virtual world I have seen. One spot in particular made me extremely happy and a bit amazed. I forget where exactly it is, somewhere near the horde base of conquest hold. But there was a fairly good sized pack of greymist hunter worgs by this little nook in the forest. One was standing/sitting on a large rock, while the others circled it, they even patroled and tried chasing each other a bit, ultimately ending in a sudden group howling session initiated by that one wolf on the rock.

The only thing that would have made it more complete of course, is if these wolf-models had an accompying howl-sound effect when they do the animation, and maybe had a few more animations to really emulate wolf interactions and actually have them chase each other and play like real wolves do. But even with the limited animations and lack of sound, these wolves actually looked and ACTED like wolves. Not polygonal videogame models.

I really wasn't expecting to see such a sight in a videogame, so it made me really happy. So much so that I had to doodle this up in painter. yes it's a speedart [for me anyway] and yes the coloring is a bit sloppy, but overall I'm pleased with it. And if these wolves look a bit funny, it's because the new wolf models in northrend are a bit funny looking themselves.

I tried staying true to the model but still making them look like real wolves. basically I'm nutters. As to hat's watching in the distance? That's my silly little druid in kitty form being nosey. XD; cuz it's so what I did in the game. haha
