Description A memory of a showing of some old gangter picture in the Piazza Maggiore a month or so ago -- la cinema sotto le stelle -- a beautiful clear cool night, greenish glow of the screen, the audience sitting attentively and one little gnome-like guy who peered up at the screen suspiciously...

oh my...incredibly impressive. This is so perfect for what it is. i've always had a horrible time trying to capture a moment like this in a painting, like a movie or a TV in the background. you separated the screen from the reality and it looks perfect...i love this

really like your style, it's got character and some sort of uniqueness. the woodtexture is such a nice add to the picture, i enjoy seeing artists, who still use "traditional" meΒ΄dia and techniques. you managed to capture that " cinematic moment" perfectly, nice play with perspective and height-contrasts here. all together a great piece, i have to fav it

beautiful. i think you should do works in these colors more often... you do it so well... and the fact that it's at the movies? it couldn't get any better than this. +fav

wow.. interesting expression on thier faces.. feels a bit creepy. the darkness and emphasis on thier eyes and mouth just stand out and make this dramatic..

You are so interesting... I would have never thought to do a piece with this subject matter. And to create it from memory is even more impressive. I love the colors, I am a huge fan of how your characters skin tones almost look dead. Somehow, you combine darkness with humor and I am fascinated by that.

This is a wonderful painting. Ive never been very good with acrylics but you seem to be able to use many medium effectivly especially for getting those skin tones that you even get digitally.
You really get a sense of the mass of the man peering and he has that look like maybe he knew some of those guys on the screen.
I especially love the facial structure of the right gangster.

...this is why i love you! the expressions are priceless. the paint texture gives it a really meaty, solid feel that's kind of glossed over - much like gangster movies, i guess. hmm...

gotta luv acrylics this is definatly worth the full view. In the preview the texture of the wood looks in my opinion to ruin the pic but looking at in full, it makes it look better

great colours and brilliant expression in the faces i really like this
