He looks like a too willing murder victim -- who will die in the leaves, but won't actually die.
Now he's going to get up and be a smoking Undead zombie who will kill everyone who cuts down trees -- since the leaves absorbed his mind while he lay in them, and all of their latent resentment poured into his empty mind!
