Raised as Grizzly Deals Sparkling is Grizzly's cousin, born from the union of a changeling male and pony female. Sparkling's mother, a major gimbaling addict and alcoholic, would despite her family's wealth, sell herself into slavery and end up in the Dukedom of Chrysalis mottlers, where Duke Pharynx the Forth would take her into his haram. As with many of his half-breed children, the Duke would sell Sparkling off for a trade of chems and booze, where her Uncle would find her and take her in, raising Sparkling as Grizzly's body double (A common practice at the time.) Knowing of her heritage, he would also officially adopt Sparkling as his daughter, of which she and Grizzly would get along greatly.

As an adult, Sparkling's changeling nature would come as an advantaged in training slaves and helping with negotiations. there was also an attempt at a political marriage, but when it was found that she was sterile any attempts of marriage was abandoned. When it came to Grizzly's own political marriage, Sparkling would fand herself taking her sisters place, as Grizzly had no intrest in satllions, choosing to go after mares instead. Dering this time, Grizzly's new girlfriend would be reviled to be Duke Pharynx the Fifth, Sparklings brother, whom had been searching for her ever since she got sold off. He would request that Sparkling be returned to their hive, as he had overthrown his farther, and had been rebulbing the Dukedom. But Sparkling would choose to stay with her sister, of which shed later become Grizzly's sole emotional anchor when nearly all their family ended up murdered by raiders.

By the time of "The Day of Sunshine and Rainbows" Sparkling was the madam of the Red Light Showroom, a high-end brothel inside Ursus Rest's casino. During the madness of that time, Sparkling would be forced to use her changeling magic to combat a love curse on a local hero, with was driving that hero insane. this involving the corrupted love in her to be drained, and a more purified love to be given back. At first mistaking it to be a mutation, the repeated treatments of the hero would induce a change in Sparkling, purifying her changeling half, and turning her into a persudo changeling queen, which also cured her sterility.

As the situation around Ursus rest would grow more chaotic, she'd turn to her brother for aid, agreeing to return to the hive if he would agree to help her sister, and the NCR. Though not a full changling queen, Sparkling would become their leader helping user in the purification of her hive, and freeing them from their past. Her brother, Duke Pharynx the Fifth, would leave, rekindling his relationship with Grizzly Deal, as he can the mare she always wanted.
