Here’s a short story about Herald the Black Bear. He was raised with his mother, Layla in the forest near the waterfall. He was an expert in hunting for fish and training to be territorial, one fateful night. Layla and Herald were lost in the bitter cold, Layla was struggling in starvation.

Layla had no choice but to abandon her cub Herald so she can go out and find food, but there was nothing left in the winter. After that, Layla had died. Herald knew that it was time to put matters into his own bear paws, as he grew up, he hunted for fish, drank water and had a shelter of his own.
