Great art is all about moving the observer in some way, touching their hearts, conveying and inspiring any combination of mood, emotion, story, wonder, beauty/ugliness, message, idea, and thought.
When I saw this, it made me gasp. Your attention to detail is stunning. Excellent shading for contour and depth.
It looks like your scanner consistently overexposes the right side of your artwork.

OMG!! I love this, love, love it! The detail is flipping outrageous! I love detail when I do trees but you have done something that is reminiscent of Celtic knot work but not quite.. wonderful!

I like how you repeated the pattern to fill in the background and scaled it down to fit the proportions. I would have never though of doing that, and I think it's what makes the piece so striking.

Wow...that's a beautiful amount of detail there. It reminds me a bit of medieval tapestries and paintings that had a lot of precise detail, especially of foliage. (You can see echoes of that in The Last Unicorn animated film and Disney's Sleeping Beauty.)

The leaves look like they took an insain amount of time but I actualy like the roots more. Very flowing.
