Description Assigned to make a still life drawing, I focused on the things that mimicked the living: The sheep, pigeon model and a fake flower.
I narrowed down to the sheep and pigeon, after seeing most of the other students distorting them to make them look alive.
Being curious about 'animals' and the images people have about them, I wondered what a 'sheep' is.
Is this model the 'ideal' that Plato talked about? Will we ever really grasp the difference between this model and a real sheep?
I don't know. Wierd questions just go on and on...
Anyway, I wanted to give the mechanic, sharp edged, still and uncanny feeling the models made me feel.
There were stickers, brands and holes which were clues indicating that these models were made by mass production, so I added those to reinforce what I wanted to question/tell.
I'm not sure how this drawing looks like for other people, though. Gotta show and listen to what they think...
I guess... Now it's very confusing. I've gotta experience, think and express more to get a grasp of what I want to tell and how it's percieved.

-Conte, on white paper. About 3~4 weeks.
