i adore the old feel of this photograph.
the makeup and lighting was done very well - the words "soft" and "elegant" come to mind.
she is a beautiful model, a wise choice to use her.
you did an amazing job on this photo! congratulations on the daily deviation! you deserve it.

Thank you so much! She was my first choice to shoot this set with. The good thing was she was spending a week with me so we were able to take our time in setting up the shot. Glad you enjoyed!

Have you ever considered also doing photography that is VERY similar to Alma-Tadema, Rosetti, Waterhouse? The color usage, etc. Like living oils?

No nuisance at all - I do love that look. There are challenges in doing so. An example in "The Bath" is the pitcher and bowl. I looked for 5 months before I finally found a set and ended up having to pay $60. With the holidays approaching I will have time to do more setup so we shall see.

Now that is a really elegant, classical victorian nude. Perfect composition, excellent choice of props and posture. I am wondering if a very little backlighting might not bring out the forms just a little and allow for a bit more contrast without losing the forms into the black background. Other than that... perfect.
