Ginga Densetsu Weed Rip-Off

surprisingly i find him a very interesting character despite the fact i went into drawing this negatively thinking he was bland and boring. but, hey, some brainstorming made him very likable and relatable! his characteristic is "Capable of taking hits" (def).

Backstory: Root was born to Lily but was taken away from her at a young age, so he didn't really remember her. He evolved into a Leafeon early on, and he can't really remember when he did or how (its not anything important, its just that like most 'L', 'U', etc's, they were forced to evolve very young). He got his eye scar by accident- he isn't a very aggressive Pokemon. It was also at a young age, so he doesn't remember it clearly, just that he had fallen into something sharp and cut his eye. He always wanted to leave the PokeLabs, but didn't feel confident enough to plan any escape. When a Flareon came around and said she was gonna help him escape he was like "okay", and escaped with her.
When they got out, the Flareon introduced herself as Flame, and he was like 'oh shoot wth's a name'. He had referred to her beforehand as 'Flareon', and he still does sometimes. He never really knew about name's, nor had one, so when Flame asked, he panicked and looked around and was like 'What's a Leafeon name?' and looked down, saw some tree roots, and said Root, and ever since then that's been his name.
When they met Agent, Foxy and Icicle later on, Root was just like 'okay, this is my friend group now, cool' and just accepted it. He isn't exactly super stealthy and doesn't fancy sneaking into the PokeLabs with Agent to 'spy', but he learned to go with it. He learned about his father, Glacier, when Agent was gushing over his picture on his files. Root had looked into his files a little deeper because he was bored and found out he was his father. He feels a little awkward that his friend is crushing on his father, but he doesn't mind too much. Although, Foxy forbids him from telling Agent he's the son of her crush.
When Blade and the fam found them, Root felt really awkward when Blade was like 'holy moly ur my sister's son aren't you you have the same eyes omg'. Root didn't really know his mother, and he kinda just went with it when Blade was fussing over him and reminiscing about Lily and being hopeful they could save them. He feels really weird that Blade assumes they have an emotional connection due to being kin, when Root doesn't really feel the same way towards his 'Uncle'. He's polite and never tells Blade off though.
