As much as I was satisfied with how things ended, I loved Tai and Sora together for the sense of timeless love between them. They felt like something out of a fairy tale without it being cliche. They were both fiery and emotional warriors who fought with their hearts and matured as fighters over time and became something incredible! They feel like a pair of war deities fighting side-by-side and are ancient in their connection.

Why I feel it never worked out for them in the anime: Tai couldn't let go of the fight while his other friends seemed eager to. Each was slowly finding their way into their adult lives, but Tai was afraid that he'd lose the part of himself he'd gained through fighting alongside the Digimon. He feared letting go of his purpose in protecting the world. This is what I feel lead him and Agumon to becoming UN Diplomats to the Digital World: their shared need to continue preserving the balance between the two worlds; continuing in their original destiny without continuing to risk their lives as warriors, and helping to guide each new generation of the Digidestined along the way. I often act like Tai in real life, impulsively trying to do the right thing and always ready to take a chance to help others. I understand his way of thinking. He lives to fight and lead. It's who he is. It's what he's always done. To deny that instinct would be to deny his entire identity. I hope I'm not just rambling here.

I heard Meiko likes Yamato which grabbed my interest....... i really hope Taiora has a chance because all we know is that Taichi has feelings for Sora....... so possibly a Sorato breakup would be possible
