secondly, i believe the onion is symbolic of a deep-rooted treasure that lies beneath many protective layers. Ironically, despite the unclothed nature of the model in this piece, we are lead to question whether this onion is, indeed, an extension of his persona. Some might even say this piece reflects a moment of revelation, when the model - stripped of all his external layers - confronts the onion within, as it were...

...or you could just say the model was pissed when he posed for this photo, and found it funny as fuck.
