Episode 17 (Season 2, Episode 4) - "Brandy Learns To Cook"

SYNOPSIS

Brandy Ames is a young modern woman who is very much in love with Larry Watts, her older old-fashioned man. Sometimes the differences in generations can cause problems, such as the one Brandy is now experiencing. In order to make up for her side in a recent fierce fight between them that came close to breaking them up, Brandy has decided to do something extra special for Larry. She wants to cook her old-fashioned man an old-fashioned meal. The only problem is this: like many young women of her generation, Brandy's cooking skills are limited to microwaves, toaster ovens, and the like. She has never learned how to prepare and cook a meal by hand in the old-fashioned way ... until now. With the same determination she has in all things to which she sets her mind, and with some help from a couple of her friends who DO know how to cook (and cook well), Brandy is determined to meet this challenge she has set for herself. Can she do it? Can Brandy learn how to cook? What about poor Larry, the object of her affection and determination? Will his stomach be able to stand her lessons in home cooking?

And while Brandy struggles with doing her best to make her man happy in her own unique way, her neighbor across the way Jim Cozort, who suffers from a phobia of beautiful women, is facing his own challenge: finding a way to get the swimsuit model poster off of his basement access door that the others put up there to keep him from sneaking out and around town via the city sewer and storm drain system, and that way completely avoiding any encounters with beautiful women as much as possible. Never mind that what he intends to do is illegal, and he's already been warned about it both by his landlord and city officials from when he was doing it before. He's just as determined to get his "secret tunnels" back as is Brandy in learning how to cook. Can Jim succeed without the others getting wise to his efforts?
