Description
Ported to OBJ from the STL format recreation by David Bogaerts. Preview picture posed in XNALara XPS. You can download the original STL model by Mr. Bogaerts at the link below BUT BE WARNED! STL format models are intended for use with a 3D printer, with the end user assembling (if required) and then hand-painting the model once it has been 3D printed. You will have to texture this yourself (as did I) if you want it to look like it does on the show or any of the better known filming model recreations. Anyway, here's the link:

NOTE - This ship is unique to BSG TOS. It has no analog in NuBSG/TRS.
Dubbed "the Pre-Eastern Alliance Destroyer model" and the "F-15 kitbash ship" by TOS fans (the latter name for reasons which will soon become clear), this is one of many spaceship models that were kitbashed together by the folks at Apogee to serve as the ships in the Colonial Rag-Tag Fleet. The model itself was greebled up from an upside-down F-15 Eagle plastic kit base and with extra parts kitbased on from other plastic model kits. It can best be seen thirty-seven minutes into the TOS pilot movie, "Saga of a Star World," while Commander Adama is giving his famous "And they came ..." speech, flying ahead of the Colonial Movers ship (that's also in the above preview image, lower right). This ship also reappears in stock Rag-Tag Fleet footage for the rest of the series. BTW the model got recycled, reworked, and spruced up even more to serve as the Eastern Alliance destroyer for the Terra story arc late in the series ("Greetings from Earth"/"Baltar's Escape"/"Experiment in Terra"). That's why it looks so familiar, since you've already seen its predecessor model as part of the Rag-Tag Fleet. Fortunately several good pictures of the original filming model were taken before it was altered, and you can see them at the link below:

BTW we know nothing about this ship other than it's Colonial and part of the Rag-Tag Fleet, since it never gets featured at any time in either TOS or its dreadful spin-off G1980. That means its backstory and further use are wide open for any BSG fan projects you might have in mind.
The paint scheme you see above is my own and may not be show-accurate, although it's in part based on a couple of physical filming model recreations by others and in part me working with the way the model ported (one solid piece, urgh!). As I noted at the start, you'll have to provide your own textures and apply them yourself if you want one that looks good.
This is BSG TOS canon given its use on-screen.
May the blessings of the Lords of Kobol go with you.
