Description
Ported to OBJ from the model created by Henrik Nielsen for Microsoft's Flight Simulator X (FSX). Preview picture posed in XNALara XPS. NO MODEL DOWNLOAD.
This one's new to me, so forgive me if I've gotten anything wrong. BALSA is the name of a Brazilian company that owns and operates a number of automobile ferry boats in various parts of that South American nation in a network known as the DERSA Coastal Crossing System. The best known of these is the FB-17 BALSA Santos ferryboat that makes the regular run between Santos and Guaruja in Sao Paulo. There are several different CG models of it painted in the various colors it has worn over the years; Mr. Nielsen's CG model is but one of these. Long a familiar sight to area residents, it was taken out of service in 2016 for a complete overhaul and rebuilding, the contract for which being awarded to Marfort. The rennovation began in May and ended in November, at which time the ferry returned to service. To find out more about the FB-17 BALSA ferry of Santos, Sao Paulo, Brazil, follow the link below (in Portuguese, use Google Translate if necessary):

This is a straight port with no changes by me. I note in passing that Mr. Nielsen's model apparently depicted the ship with its older classic yellow paint job. It was repainted in white with turquoise highlights before being returned to service, per the photos on the Montfort webside and others I've seen while searching the Internet for additional information.
This is not my model. All I did was port it to OBJ fro you. Please credit Henrik Nielsen as the original creator if you use this in any of your own 3D projects. You do not have to credit me for my part.
For non-profit, non-commercial use only.
ASIDE 1 - It is my understanding from the original README file that Mr. Nielsen does not object to you either making your own custom textures for his model or modding the model itself for whatever reason, so long as he is given credit for the original. Please post a link in the Comments below if you do, so you can share your work with the rest of us. Thank you.
ASIDE 2 - Don't turn up your nose at this, naval military fans. Ferry boats have definite military value in wartime. Their shallow drafts make them ideal impromptu landing craft or useful for inland river and lake work as shallow-draft transports (ref. the German Siebelfahre of World War II), and so on. Also, whoso controls the ferry boats at a ferry crossing controls the crossing unless (or if) you can get others in there to take their place.
