Ported to OBJ from the game stock model created by Mad Dog Software for the Star Trek Armada (STA, STA1+STA2) series of video games. Preview picture posed in XNALara XPS. NO MODEL DOWNLOAD.

As seen in the game series. This is aparently a later or alternate design for the Romulan equivalent of the Federation research station in the Armada series and performs the same function in that it provides individual upgraded technologies for various starship classes. Each of its four docking "arms" is the connection point for accessing research for a specific technology, often multiple levels of it, and can be isolated from the rest of the station during an attack with its own shields and screens. Again, like the Federation research station, these can only be built by the nearest local starbase; furthermore, if the station is destroyed then all of its upgrade capabilities for all starships it supports are "lost" until the station is rebuilt and they are re-researched.

This is semi-canon, given its creation for a Franchise licensed video game series.
