**WARNING LARGE FILE**

This is a step by step process tutorial of one of my fan art works of the main cast from Soul Eater.

Process:

1. Pencils using mechanical pencils on 11x17 copy paper. This step actually took 2 complete drawing phases because the first was so messy I had to redraw it. I am using a more stylized cartoony figures and faces than my other works to get the feel of the show.

2. Scanned into photoshop and digitally inked with a wacom tablet and basic photoshop brush and pen tool.

3. Base colors (Flats) for the characters.

4. First quick shading pass for light source reference. A simple two tone anime treatment, again to mimic the style of the anime. Also decided on a background color.

5. Details and FX, a lot of little details on this stage, you can see I made the colors more vibrant and also added a slight gradient to the image to give it a more authentic anime look. Also added glows and highlights to the connections between the weapons and their meister's. Lastly I added the series logo's and some slight background shadow to help present a light source to the viewer.
