Long time no see! Hope everyone has been doing well!
I have finally figured out something that fixes our long on going glitch issues! Meaning we can do contests again!
I've gained some new funds recently and I have enough to host a fairly large contest yet again! Though I have a few different ideas for contests! I wanted to Poll which one it will be! So let me organise this journal out a bit and see who likes what! ^^
Prizes

MINIMUM $20 (in points or paypal)Prize pool from yours truly
Possible steam surprise gifts based on the winners fandoms/what they like.
Prize pool donations would be made so others can add to the pool if they'd like. It would be organised, heavily monitored and public to make sure nothing goes missing.
1st 2nd and 3rd prizes will be calculated as the donation pool grows.
What kind of Contest?
I made a Straw Poll here for us to decide but I'll list them in this journal too.

OC Appreciation Contest
An artist secretly choses another person's OC and draws them to the best of their ability. Artwork would be judged not only by the quality but the care and attention to detail made for the OC. Both the artist and the owner of the oc will win the prizes as a means of sharing and kindness to others.
Da Muro OC Contest.
Everyone has their different programs to use for drawing. But what if we were all forced to use the same one? An interesting and unique way to spawn competive play. Artists would draw their own oc's with pride and try to show them off best they can ^^
Abstraction/Symbolism Contest
Using your own oc's, delve into a world that is not as common in the pony art community. Learning as you go, try to look at your oc's in a new angle! Let the curves and lines speak the story instead of words! Abstraction takes many forms, see which one works for you!
Examples:
OC Photography Contest
What? How can you post a photograph of a completely ficticious world? In this contest you pretend to be a photographer pony. Taking pictures of the world in which your oc's live. The goal of this contest is to show lore and the detailed worlds many of your oc's hold.
Musical Oc's Contest
Have a favorite song? Why not ponify it for all to see! In this contest artists would pick any song from any genre and do their best to make an "artistic interpretation" of it using ponies! Calm song? Use blues and softness! Harsh beat or stronger themes? Hard edges and "loud colors" is the way to go! Judging would be based off how well people feel it matches the music!

What defines the winners?
Depending on what we choose, there are a few different methods we could go about this. Once the type of contest is voted I'll make a second poll for judgment type. I like to keep contests unbiased and preferably unable to be "coax" people to vote for someone. It's meant to be a fun event not a weird "vote for me" type thing.

Poll the whole thing. Using a 3rd party polling website, we could let the entirety of deviantart vote for it. (With protections to stop cheating >>.

"Notable" people are chosen. We could do some kind of Americas got talent type thing where a few "notable" people could be the judges.

Judges need to sign up, People could sign up to vote in a private whitelisted poll. However judges cannot submit entiries to the contest.

Judges are chosen and are completely anonymous. To completely rid of biases, I could pick 20 or so people (who may not even be in the pony fandom) to decide who wins. Having an outsider of the fandom would definitely help any biases.
