Thanks a bunch! Yeah I get writer's/ artist's block coooooonstantly but I'm hoping to crank some stuff out this summer! I've posted a few new illustrations in the past few weeks that I'm really happy with so I hope the quality doesn't start going down! I wish you luck with your endeavors as well! That's really cool that you've got all this drive to take classes to get better at the things you love to do. Woah do you actually know how to program robots and stuff?Β

Your welcome~ I've seen some of your illustrations and they are really interesting! Trust me when I say, when it comes to art sometimes you will go through slumps and just produce nothing you like and after a while, (somehow I haven't figured it out), you just start drawing how you like again. Thanks I'm pretty sure I'll need it to learn coding. XD And I used to know the very basics of programming of robots, I can't remember anything from that class though.

Haha I completely understand that. My mind works in very strange ways and sometimes I can't think of a single thing to draw and other times I have so many ideas that I have to trash a bunch of them because they all lead me to one big idea that I like the best. That happened to me yesterday and I got so overwhelmed because I wanted to make like five different pieces XD

Oh gosh, I'm going through the so many ideas at the same time right now. ;; So the did the most logical thing to fix a problem. Ignore it completely and just start playing a pokemon game. XD

Oh man that is fun! When I have too many things I want to do, I just end up sitting down and staring off into space because I can't think of what to do first. And awesome that summer's started for you now! You'll have lots of time to do all the stuff you've been wanting to do now! I have to start driver's ed next week because I am scared of cars and never wanted a license!Β

It drives me crazy if I don't do something productive, especially when I want to draw. I need to work on my license too... I'm going to take a test for it next week from what I'm getting and do a job interview. I am excited to be able to work on artworks again! I's sure you'll be able to pass the driver's test easily!

Only doing art sounds amazing, but I have to get a job to help pay for a school trip I want to go on. But at least I'll get experience, I'm just nervous for the interviews.
Procrastination is a double edged sword honestly. One one side you procrastinate and it's amazing, on the other side you're procrastinating. XD I can get that feeling though, I often find myself putting more effort into finding ways to do nothing than to actually do my work.

Oh that's really smart. I wish I had gotten a job now, but I got too nervous to do any applications after the first one. But maybe I'll be able to sell some art and make money off of that- though I'm not sure! Hopefully I'll figure out ways to do art faster and keep on top of things! I'll have all these ideas and then end up only doing one thing per day or every two days. I think I'll start doing multiple sketches at a time and start coloring them together so I can get more done at once and if I hit a spot I don't want to work on on one piece then I can work on one of my others.

I saw the jacobin pigeon, (which was absolutely amazing, like holy crap your coloring is astounding!), I'm sure you will get commission offers if you put it out there!
Also on the strategy that sounds like a good way to do multiple sketches at once and work on the ones that aren't stumping you, but make sure you don't get overwhelmed with how many sketches your doing. Remember to take breaks in between drawings, and you probably already know this but just in case it's okay if you don't produce art as quickly as you want or if the don't turn out right. I've been on a hiatus with drawing for those very reasons. XD

And thanks for the tip. Sometimes I feel obligated to put out a bunch of art so people stay interested in what I'm doing but I'd rather produce high quality work than massive quantity. I definitely understand the hiatus thing. Sometimes I quit art for a long time to just write stories or do other things I like

I'm glad that tip helps you! I have to remind myself this quite a bit when I'm working on something and it doesn't come out the way I want it or how i have multiple things I want to draw but I haven't been able to choose which one to do first. And i completely understand wanting on produce high quality over quantity. However, if you are ever worried about your artwork remember its for your enjoyment too and not solely for others! (I need to remember this too, i have no idea why i give so much advice when you already know these things sorry about that XD)
Also I almost feel like we should keep writing to each in a different thread than this one because if you go to the (1 reply) on Pyro's team and see 3 pages of text when you get to the 3rd page it looks like da is breaking. XD

Yeah it's no problem! I love getting advice and feedback. I always want to do art for fun but also wish more people saw what I made. But as long as it's fun for me, I'll keep making as much nice art as I can and maybe eventually I'll have enough people enjoying it as well to make a living off of it. Although that is hard nowadays!

Yeah that is pretty difficult, usually fanart is more praised/liked than original which makes sense tbh. It's easier for people to like something they already know. Β It's probably going to stay a hobby for me but I don't mind taking request.Β
