An experiment in gloss medium glazing, and a self-portrait. The background is taken from Gauguin's "Jacob Wrestling the Angel", and the lily on the table is a symbol of the Annunciation. I can't put into words what exactly is going on here, but it has to do with feeling vulnerable, I think. That's how I was feeling at the time. Anyway, I'm happy with it.
