First strip of the newly revived Roxy series. It's hard to believe it was already 10 years ago that I started to draw this guy for a local newspaper. What happened to me, man?

In this particular strip I am applying something that Bill Watterson (of Calvin & Hobbes fame) pointed out. He wrote that working in the comic strip format is very restrictive and there's no room for really expressive artwork, so instead we usually get a bunch of talking heads that look the same panel after panel.

I drew this as a light-hearted satire of such strips, but I must admit it's more of a parody of my own strips I used to draw long ago.

By the way, what do you guys think of the colouring style? I'm having trouble deciding which style to use regularly.
