Description Tonight the moon stands full
dancing among the clouds
her light creeps through my window
unto my bed where we lie
to say that this night lay silent
would be a paradox of truth,
for in my ears she whispers
the glory of her days
a thousand wars she witnessed
the day the prophets turned away
of early days before man had come
and many more to pass
it was clear to me that she was old and wise
and I would soon be one of her pasts

Tonight the moon stands proud and clear
a throne to angels on the clouds
together they would mock me
and the weakness of my shell
for forever I would be young in age
never see the battles fought
or the day the prophets would return
never know the truth in me
or understand the truth in you...
Tonight the light is loud
piercing at my ears
but my mind is callous to their calls
for in their eyes I am the king of nothing
but in you I am one and all...

I love the personification and the sense of being small, and insignificant in the scheme of the universe... nicely done

as much as it veers away from your style, i still love it a lot. your poetry really awes me.

interesting ....very different ... i find myself lost in its misery ... reminding me of those troubled thoughts the night brings.. moons are very symbolic ... and its power is used quite well in this poem ...
I like how its very soft and quite mellow ... and at the same time you can feel the sadness in each sentence... great job i really like this.
